This is different from the upstream cruise to Murchison Falls.

African elephants are among Murchison Falls’ most memorable wildlife encounters, especially around the savanna and Nile corridor.

Leopards occur in Murchison Falls National Park but are naturally elusive, making them considerably harder to locate than elephants, giraffes or buffaloes.
They favour areas where woodland provides cover.
Early mornings and late afternoons can be productive periods for searching.
A leopard sighting is never guaranteed.
That is part of what makes finding one so exciting.
The Victoria Nile provides excellent opportunities to see hippos and Nile crocodiles, particularly during the boat cruise toward Murchison Falls.
Hippos often gather in the water with only their heads visible.
Crocodiles may lie motionless along sandbanks.

Chimpanzee tracking is not the same core park experience as the classic Murchison game drive.
The forests south of the main park provide the primate component.
