Safari Overview

Our 21-day Uganda safari combines Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife, primate, adventure, cultural, and lakeside experiences into one immersive journey.

We begin beside Lake Victoria in Entebbe before exploring Kampala and Jinja, where the Nile provides the setting for an exhilarating whitewater rafting experience.

From there, we enter Uganda’s wildlife country.

We track southern white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before exploring Murchison Falls National Park by boat, vehicle, and on foot.

We then continue to Kibale Forest National Park, where chimpanzee tracking introduces us to Uganda’s extraordinary primate diversity.

Our journey continues through Semuliki National Park, where forest walks and chimpanzee encounters reveal a different side of Uganda’s wildlife.

We then travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park for classic savannah game drives and a boat safari along the wildlife-rich Kazinga Channel.

The adventure reaches its emotional highlight in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where we spend two days experiencing mountain gorilla trekking.

After the forests and savannahs, we slow the pace at Lake Bunyonyi before finishing with three relaxing days on the Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria.

This is an itinerary for travelers who want to experience Uganda as more than a traditional safari destination.

Itinerary

Day 1Entebbe – A Relaxed Beginning Beside Lake Victoria

We begin our Uganda safari in Entebbe with a relaxed lakeside stay, giving you time to settle in and experience the city’s gardens, waterfront, and colonial character.

We welcome you at Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to your waterfront accommodation.

Entebbe offers a gentle introduction to Uganda.

The city sits beside Lake Victoria and combines leafy surroundings, gardens, waterfront views, and reminders of its earlier role as Uganda’s administrative center.

Instead of rushing straight into the wilderness, we allow the first afternoon and evening to unfold at your preferred pace.

You can relax at the hotel, enjoy the waterfront, or simply recover from your international journey.

This slower beginning also gives us time to brief you about the safari ahead.

Tomorrow, we leave Entebbe and travel toward Kampala before continuing east to Jinja.

Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Leisure time

Our Tip

We recommend keeping arrival day flexible. International flights can arrive at different times, so a relaxed first afternoon makes the journey more comfortable.

Day 2Kampala & Jinja – Uganda’s Capital and the Source of the Nile

We explore Kampala with a local guide before traveling east to Jinja, where the River Nile provides a dramatic setting for the next stage of our Uganda adventure.

After breakfast, we leave Entebbe for Kampala.

Uganda’s capital offers a completely different atmosphere from the quieter surroundings of Entebbe.

The city is energetic, colorful, and constantly moving.

With our local guide, we explore selected areas that help us understand modern urban Uganda.

Markets, streets, fresh produce, local businesses, and everyday community life provide a glimpse into the country’s contemporary character.

After lunch, we continue toward Jinja.

The city is closely associated with the Source of the Nile and has become one of Uganda’s leading destinations for adventure activities.

We make time to visit the Nile source area and enjoy views across the river.

Later, we settle into our lodge overlooking the Nile.

The evening is relaxed, giving us time to prepare for tomorrow’s whitewater rafting adventure.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Kampala city experience and Nile visit
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Jinja has plenty of optional activities. If you have a particular interest, tell us before travel so we can shape your time around it.

Day 3Jinja – Whitewater Rafting on the River Nile

We spend today rafting along the River Nile, navigating exhilarating rapids while enjoying the surrounding scenery and experiencing one of Jinja’s signature adventure activities.

Today brings a completely different kind of adventure.

After breakfast, we head to the Nile for our whitewater rafting experience.

The activity combines adrenaline with spectacular river scenery.

We follow the instructions of our professional rafting crew before entering the water.

The rapids provide the main challenge, while calmer stretches allow us to appreciate the surrounding landscape.

The experience is designed for both adventure seekers and travelers who may be new to rafting.

The level of difficulty depends on the selected rafting experience and prevailing river conditions.

Throughout the day, we balance the excitement of the rapids with quieter moments on the Nile.

By the end of the experience, we return to Jinja with a very different appreciation of Uganda’s famous river.

We spend another evening beside the Nile before continuing our wildlife journey tomorrow.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Whitewater Rafting
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Wear comfortable swimwear or quick-drying clothing. Your rafting operator will provide the necessary safety equipment and briefing.

Day 4Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Walking Among Southern White Rhinos

We travel toward Murchison Falls and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we combine vehicle viewing with a guided walk to observe southern white rhinos.

Today marks the beginning of our wildlife-focused journey.

We leave Jinja and travel northwest toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

The sanctuary plays an important role in Uganda’s rhino conservation story.

Here, we have the opportunity to observe southern white rhinos in a protected environment.

Our experience begins with guidance from trained conservation staff.

We first observe the rhinos from a vehicle before continuing on foot where conditions and sanctuary guidelines allow.

Walking provides a much closer appreciation of their size, movement, and behavior.

Our guides explain the rhinos’ behavior and the conservation work supporting their protection.

We maintain a respectful distance and follow all instructions throughout the encounter.

After the rhino experience, we continue toward Masindi, where we spend the night before entering Murchison Falls National Park.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Rhino Tracking

Our Tip

Wear comfortable walking shoes and neutral-colored clothing. A hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent can also make the experience more comfortable.

Day 5Murchison Falls – Boat Safari & The Nile

We explore Murchison Falls National Park by boat, watching hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, giraffes, and birds before experiencing the Nile at Murchison Falls.

We enter Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park.

The park is shaped by the River Nile, which cuts through the landscape before forcing its way through the narrow gorge at Murchison Falls.

Our first major activity is a boat safari along the Nile.

From the water, we can observe wildlife gathering along the riverbanks.

Hippos remain close to the water, while elephants and buffalo may approach the river to drink.

Nile crocodiles often rest along the shoreline.

The boat also provides excellent opportunities for birdwatching.

We continue toward the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge.

Depending on the day’s arrangements, we can experience the falls from a suitable viewpoint and appreciate the power of the river.

We then return to our lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Boat Safari and Murchison Falls experience
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Keep binoculars accessible during the boat cruise. Many wildlife encounters happen along the shoreline and can be easier to appreciate with magnification.

Day 6Murchison Falls – Classic Savannah Game Drive & Walking Experience

We explore Murchison Falls by safari vehicle and on foot, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelope, and other wildlife across the savannah.

We begin early with a game drive through Murchison Falls National Park.

The morning offers an opportunity to explore the savannah while wildlife is active.

We search for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, Uganda kob, antelope, and predators such as lions.

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, so we allow our guide to respond to fresh tracks, recent sightings, and animal movements.

The landscape itself is part of the experience.

Golden grasslands, scattered trees, wetlands, and distant views create the classic East African safari atmosphere.

Later, we can enjoy a guided walking experience where permitted.

Walking changes our perspective.

Instead of concentrating only on large mammals, we notice animal tracks, plants, insects, birds, and smaller details within the ecosystem.

We return to our accommodation later in the day for dinner and rest.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Game Drive and Walking Safari
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Early starts are worthwhile. Carry water, binoculars, sunscreen, and a light jacket because morning temperatures can be cooler.

Day 7Kibale Forest National Park – Entering Uganda’s Primate Country

We travel from Murchison Falls toward Kibale Forest, exchanging open savannah for lush forest and preparing for one of Uganda’s richest primate experiences.

Today, we leave Murchison Falls and travel south toward Kibale Forest National Park.

The scenery changes gradually during the journey.

Open savannah gives way to greener countryside before the forested hills of Kibale appear.

Kibale is famous for its primates, making it an important stop for travelers interested in chimpanzees and forest wildlife.

After arriving at our lodge, we settle into the forest surroundings.

Depending on arrival time and local conditions, we can enjoy an afternoon primate walk around the lodge area.

Possible encounters include red colobus monkeys, Uganda mangabeys, blue monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys.

The forest atmosphere feels completely different from Murchison Falls.

Instead of expansive grasslands, we move through dense vegetation where sounds and movement often come from above.

We spend the night near the forest, ready for tomorrow’s chimpanzee tracking experience.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Primate Experience

Our Tip

Kibale can be humid and wet. Lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and rain protection are useful.

Day 8Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Tracking

We trek through Kibale Forest in search of habituated chimpanzees, observing their movements, communication, and social behavior alongside other forest wildlife.

Today, we focus on one of Uganda’s most celebrated primate experiences.

After breakfast, we enter Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking.

Our guides and trackers search for signs of chimpanzee movement while we follow forest trails.

We listen for calls in the canopy and watch carefully for movement among the trees.

Kibale’s forest also supports numerous other primates.

We may encounter red colobus monkeys, mangabeys, blue monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and other forest species during the trek.

Eventually, we hope to locate the habituated chimpanzee community.

Once we find them, we spend the permitted viewing time observing their behavior.

Chimpanzees communicate through vocalizations, gestures, facial expressions, and movement.

Watching these interactions provides a fascinating insight into their complex social lives.

The encounter passes quickly because there is so much to observe.

Afterwards, we return to our lodge and enjoy a quieter afternoon.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Chimpanzee Tracking

Our Tip

Chimpanzee tracking involves walking through natural forest terrain. We recommend preparing with regular walking before your safari.

Day 9Semuliki National Park – Forest Wildlife After Dark

We travel west toward Semuliki National Park for forest exploration and a nighttime wildlife experience, searching for species that become active after sunset.

We leave Kibale and continue toward Semuliki National Park.

The landscape changes once again as we approach the forest.

Semuliki provides a distinctive ecological setting influenced by the wider Congo Basin forest environment.

After settling into our lodge, we begin an afternoon exploration.

The forest supports a range of primates and other wildlife.

We may encounter antelope, monkeys, birds, and other forest species as we explore.

Later, we prepare for a nighttime game drive, subject to park regulations and availability.

After dark, the forest becomes a different world.

Nocturnal animals emerge, and sounds from the forest canopy become more noticeable.

We search for wildlife such as leopards and other nocturnal species while following our guide’s observations.

The experience is less about guaranteed sightings and more about discovering how the ecosystem changes after sunset.

We return to our lodge for the night.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Game Drive and Nighttime Wildlife Experience
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Bring a light jacket for the evening. Temperatures can drop after sunset, particularly when the vehicle is moving.

Day 10Semuliki National Park – Chimpanzee Forest Experience

We return to Semuliki’s forest to search for chimpanzees, accepting that sightings are not guaranteed while appreciating the park’s distinctive primate and forest ecosystem.

Today, we return to the forest for another chimpanzee experience.

Semuliki’s chimpanzee encounters can feel different from those in Kibale.

The forest environment creates its own atmosphere, while chimpanzee movements can make every encounter unpredictable.

Our guides lead us along forest trails and search for signs of chimpanzee activity.

When chimpanzees are located, we observe their natural behavior from a respectful distance.

They may move through the forest floor or climb into the canopy.

Their calls, gestures, and social interactions provide an absorbing window into their lives.

We also remain alert for other primates and forest species during the walk.

Chimpanzee sightings in Semuliki are not guaranteed.

That uncertainty is part of the experience, because the forest remains a genuinely wild environment.

After the activity, we return to our lodge and enjoy our final evening in Semuliki.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Chimpanzee Tracking

Our Tip

Keep your expectations flexible. Forest wildlife follows its own rhythms, and the experience remains rewarding even when a particular species stays hidden.

Day 11Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

We leave Semuliki for Queen Elizabeth National Park, combining a savannah game drive with a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.

We continue south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The transition from forest to savannah is dramatic.

The dense greenery gradually opens into grasslands and wetlands.

Once inside the park, we begin exploring its wildlife-rich landscapes.

Our game drive gives us opportunities to search for lions, buffalo, elephants, Uganda kob, antelope, and other species.

Later, we take to the water on the Kazinga Channel.

The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and attracts large concentrations of wildlife.

Hippos gather along the shoreline, while elephants and buffalo may come to drink.

Birdlife is also an important part of the cruise.

From the boat, we can observe wildlife without disturbing the natural rhythm of the shoreline.

After the cruise, we return to our lodge and relax.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Game Drive and Boat Safari
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

The Kazinga Channel is excellent for photography. A telephoto lens or binoculars can help you capture animals across the water.

Day 12Queen Elizabeth National Park – Classic Big-Game Safari

We spend another day exploring Queen Elizabeth’s savannah, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, antelope, and other wildlife across the park.

We dedicate today to a deeper exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Our morning game drive takes us through the savannah while wildlife begins its daily movements.

We search for large herbivores and predators.

Lions may rest in open grassland or trees, while Uganda kob and other antelope move across the plains.

Elephants and buffalo may appear along the tracks or near water.

Leopards are more elusive, requiring patience and careful observation.

One of Queen Elizabeth’s distinctive wildlife experiences is the possibility of seeing tree-climbing lions, particularly in suitable areas of the park.

Sightings remain unpredictable, so we focus on the wider ecosystem rather than one particular animal.

Throughout the drive, our guide interprets tracks, calls, vegetation, and animal behavior.

We return to the lodge after the day’s exploration.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Game Drive
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Wildlife watching rewards patience. Give your guide time to investigate unusual tracks, alarm calls, or distant movement.

Day 13Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Through the Southern Queen Elizabeth Landscape

We travel toward Bwindi through the southern landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, then ascend into Uganda’s misty mountain country before settling near the gorilla habitat.

Today, we begin our journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

We travel through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where wildlife may still appear along the route.

Elephants, antelope, buffalo, and other animals can make the journey feel like an extended game drive.

As we leave the savannah, the road begins to climb.

The landscape becomes increasingly mountainous and green.

Forest-covered slopes appear ahead, often surrounded by mist.

We continue toward our lodge near Bwindi.

Along the way, we can stop at a local community where appropriate, creating an opportunity to meet people and learn more about life in southwestern Uganda.

By afternoon, we reach our accommodation.

The remainder of the day is deliberately relaxed.

Tomorrow begins our first gorilla trekking experience, so we use the evening to rest and prepare.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Scenic drive and community experience

Our Tip

Pack your gorilla trekking essentials tonight. Waterproof layers, sturdy shoes, gloves, and a small backpack are useful for the forest.

Day 14Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Gorilla Trekking

We trek through Bwindi’s rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family, then spend the permitted viewing time observing these remarkable primates in their natural environment.

Today is one of the most anticipated days of our Uganda safari.

After breakfast, we travel to the appropriate gorilla trekking trailhead.

Before entering the forest, park officials provide a briefing about safety and responsible gorilla viewing.

We then begin our trek.

Bwindi’s terrain can be steep, muddy, and physically demanding.

The trek duration varies depending on the location and movement of the assigned gorilla family.

Our trackers search for signs of the group while guides lead us deeper into the forest.

When we finally find the gorillas, the pace changes.

We stop, observe, and allow the family to continue its natural behavior.

Adults may feed among the vegetation.

Young gorillas may play nearby.

Mothers may care for infants while the dominant silverback watches over the group.

We follow the required viewing guidelines throughout the encounter.

The experience is intimate without needing to disturb the animals.

Afterwards, we trek back through the forest and return to our lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Gorilla Trekking
Transfer: Included

Our Tip

Gorilla trekking is physically demanding. If you have concerns about mobility or fitness, tell us before travel so we can help plan appropriately.

Day 15Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Second Gorilla Trekking Experience

We return to Bwindi for a second gorilla trek, giving us another opportunity to observe a different family, discover new behaviors, and experience the forest from another perspective.

A second gorilla trek allows us to experience how different one gorilla family can be from another.

We return to the forest after breakfast and prepare for another trek.

Our guides and trackers again search for signs of the assigned family.

The terrain and weather may differ from the previous day.

So can the gorilla experience.

One family may have several silverbacks, while another may have particularly active juveniles.

Some groups spend more time feeding.

Others move frequently through the vegetation.

These differences make the second trek more than a repeat experience.

We can pay closer attention to social behavior, communication, feeding patterns, and interactions between individuals.

We also have another opportunity to appreciate Bwindi itself.

The forest contains far more than gorillas.

Bird calls, insects, plants, vines, and other primates constantly surround us.

After the trek, we return to the lodge and enjoy a relaxed final evening in the Bwindi region.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Gorilla Trekking

Our Tip

Carry your camera only if you can protect it from moisture. Bwindi’s rainforest conditions can change quickly.

Day 16–17Lake Bunyonyi – Two Days of Lakeside Serenity

Day 16: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

We leave Bwindi and travel to Lake Bunyonyi, where volcanic hills, islands, and calm waters create a peaceful setting after our intensive wildlife experiences.

After breakfast, we leave Bwindi and travel toward Lake Bunyonyi.

The journey is relatively short compared with many of our previous transfers.

As we approach the lake, the landscape changes into a striking combination of green hills, cultivated slopes, and water.

Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by numerous small islands and has become one of southwestern Uganda’s most peaceful destinations.

After arriving at our lodge, we settle into the lakeside atmosphere.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at a comfortable pace.

You can relax at the lodge, enjoy the views, or explore the lake by canoe where arranged.

Traditional wooden canoes remain an important part of life around the lake.

We can also arrange community and coffee experiences depending on your interests.

After several days of trekking and wildlife viewing, this slower pace provides an important change of rhythm.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Lake Experience

Our Tip

Lake Bunyonyi is ideal for slowing down. Avoid filling every hour with activities and leave time simply to enjoy the landscape.

Day 17: Lake Bunyonyi – Canoeing, Culture & Relaxation

We spend another day at Lake Bunyonyi, combining gentle lake activities with opportunities to explore local communities, coffee, islands, and the surrounding highland landscape.

Today gives us more time to experience Lake Bunyonyi.

We can take a guided canoe trip across the lake and explore some of its islands.

The pace is deliberately gentle.

Instead of rushing between attractions, we enjoy the lake’s scenery and learn about the communities that live around it.

For travelers interested in local culture, we can arrange visits to nearby communities.

Coffee lovers can also explore local coffee-growing areas where available.

The surrounding hills are heavily cultivated, creating a fascinating agricultural landscape.

Alternatively, you can spend the day at the lodge.

After two days of gorilla trekking and weeks of wildlife experiences, doing very little can be just as rewarding.

We enjoy another quiet evening beside the lake.

Tomorrow, we begin our journey toward the Ssese Islands and the final chapter of our Uganda safari.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activities: Canoeing, Cultural Experience & Leisure

Our Tip

Bring a light layer for the evening. Lake Bunyonyi sits at a higher elevation, so temperatures can feel cooler after sunset.

Days 18–20Ssese Islands – Three Days of Lake Victoria Escapism

Day 18: Journey to the Ssese Islands

We travel toward the Ssese Islands for three days of lakeside relaxation, replacing the pace of wildlife viewing with beaches, water, and quiet island surroundings.

Today begins the final chapter of our Uganda journey.

We travel toward the Ssese Islands, an archipelago within Lake Victoria.

After weeks of moving through forests, savannahs, towns, and mountains, the islands provide a welcome change of pace.

Our onward journey includes a boat transfer across Lake Victoria.

As the mainland disappears behind us, the atmosphere becomes increasingly peaceful.

We arrive at our island accommodation and settle in.

The remainder of the day is reserved for relaxation.

Depending on your accommodation, you can enjoy the beach, waterfront, gardens, or views across Lake Victoria.

The evening provides a beautiful contrast to the wildlife-focused days earlier in the journey.

There are no demanding treks or long game drives today.

We simply allow ourselves to slow down.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Transfer: Included
Activity: Boat Transfer & Leisure

Our Tip

Keep your essential items accessible during the boat transfer. A small day bag makes moving between vehicles and boats easier.

Day 19: Ssese Islands – Lakeside Leisure

We spend a full day enjoying the Ssese Islands at an unhurried pace, with time for the beach, water, nature, and quiet moments beside Lake Victoria.

Today is intentionally free of demanding activities.

The Ssese Islands provide space to rest after an extensive Uganda safari.

You can enjoy the waterfront, relax on the beach, take a nature walk, or simply spend time at the lodge.

The surrounding lake creates a peaceful backdrop throughout the day.

For travelers who prefer gentle exploration, we can discuss available island activities.

For others, this is an opportunity to disconnect from a busy travel schedule.

There is something valuable about ending a wildlife journey slowly.

After weeks of tracking chimpanzees, watching big game, trekking gorillas, and exploring forests, we can simply appreciate Uganda’s natural beauty.

We enjoy another evening beside Lake Victoria.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Leisure

Our Tip

Use this day to rest rather than over-schedule. A slower final section can make the journey home much more comfortable.

Day 20: Ssese Islands – Final Day Beside Lake Victoria

We enjoy our final full day on the Ssese Islands with time for relaxation, waterfront activities, and reflection on the wildlife and landscapes experienced across Uganda.

Our final island day provides one last opportunity to enjoy Lake Victoria.

You can spend the morning beside the water or choose from activities available at your lodge.

The islands offer a peaceful environment for reflection.

Over the previous weeks, we have experienced Uganda’s cities, rivers, conservation areas, national parks, forests, mountains, and lakes.

We have tracked rhinos and chimpanzees.

We have watched elephants and lions.

We have explored the Nile by boat and raft.

We have walked through Bwindi in search of mountain gorillas.

Now we simply enjoy the water and the quiet surroundings.

The final evening is a fitting conclusion to an extensive Uganda safari.

We prepare for our return to Entebbe tomorrow.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Included
Activity: Leisure

Our Tip

Keep your final evening relaxed and organize your luggage before departure day. This makes the transfer back to Entebbe much easier.

Day 21Ssese Islands – Boat Transfer to Entebbe & Departure

We cross Lake Victoria by boat toward Entebbe before transferring to Entebbe International Airport for your onward international flight.

After breakfast, we prepare for our journey back to the mainland.

We travel across Lake Victoria by boat, enjoying one final perspective of the lake and its islands.

On reaching the mainland, our team arranges your onward transfer to Entebbe International Airport.

We recommend allowing sufficient time between the boat arrival and your international flight.

If your flight schedule requires additional time, we can arrange an appropriate day room or accommodation in Entebbe.

Your 21-day Uganda safari ends here.

The journey has taken us from the waterfront of Entebbe to Kampala’s vibrant streets, the adventure of the Nile, rhino conservation at Ziwa, and the wildlife of Murchison Falls.

We have explored Kibale and Semuliki’s forests, Queen Elizabeth’s savannah, and Bwindi’s mountain rainforest.

We have then slowed the pace at Lake Bunyonyi and the Ssese Islands.

Meals: Breakfast
Transfer: Included
Activity: Boat Transfer

Our Tip

If your international flight is scheduled soon after the boat transfer, allow a generous connection time. Weather and lake conditions can influence boat schedules.

Some travelers may want additional wildlife time.

Others may prefer more relaxation around Lake Bunyonyi or the Ssese Islands.

We can also adjust the number of activities based on your priorities.

If primates are your priority, we can strengthen the Kibale and Semuliki sections.

Adventure travelers may want more time around Jinja.

Photographers may prefer longer game drives and flexible schedules.

We can also discuss different accommodation levels and transport arrangements.

Tell us what matters most to you, and we will shape the journey around your travel style.

Responsible Gorilla Trekking

We approach gorilla trekking as a conservation experience, not simply a wildlife attraction.

The gorillas live in their natural forest habitat, so our behavior during the encounter matters.

We follow the instructions of park authorities, guides, and trackers throughout the trek.

The forest terrain can be steep and challenging, while weather conditions can change quickly.

We also encourage travelers to follow all health and wildlife-viewing guidelines.

Gorilla permits, viewing regulations, health requirements, and conservation rules can change.

We therefore recommend confirming the latest requirements before travel.

Our goal is simple.

We want you to enjoy an extraordinary encounter while helping protect the gorillas and their habitat for future generations.
